Making evaluations regarding the award, Bursa CEX Chairman of the Board Özer Matlı stated that the award is an important indication of the Exchange’s export-oriented vision and the support it provides to its members. Emphasizing that they have adopted the mission of increasing the competitiveness of producers and industrialists on a global scale, Chairman Matlı said:
“As the Bursa Commodity Exchange, we are taking important steps to ensure that our members gain sustainable strength in global markets. Our Food UR-GE Project, which we carry out with the support of our Ministry of Trade, has brought the local flavors of Bursa to the global showcase, most recently at FOODEX JAPAN, the most prestigious food organization in the Far East, following Dubai, Bucharest and Sofia. The recognition by our Ministry of Trade of our companies’ determination to expand into foreign markets and the devoted efforts of the team managing the project with the ‘Best Emerging UR-GE’ award is not only a great source of pride and motivation for us, but also a concrete result of a properly planned vision and intensive efforts that have found their reflection in the field.”
Chairman Matlı Emphasizes Exports and Competitiveness
Underlining that they will continue to implement projects that contribute to Bursa’s production and export potential in the coming period, Chairman Özer Matlı stated:
“In the globalizing world economy, increasing the competitiveness of our local companies, transforming them into exporters, and diversifying their existing markets are among our top priorities. As we have done until now, we will continue to carry more of our companies into international markets and further increase our export capacity in the coming period. On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude, first and foremost, to our Minister of Trade, Mr. Ömer Bolat, and to our valued members who actively participated in our project. As the Bursa Commodity Exchange, we will continue to fulfill our responsibilities in helping our country achieve its goals.”
